New and Old.....
My
family came from the Kirkdale area. My mother Emily
Kennedy was born at 96 Brighton Terrace,
Stanley
Road
,
and my father John Morgan in
Aspinall
Street
.
Sadly both now departed.
This is an old family photo of Aunty Polly’s Picnic To The
Lights (
Blackpool
)
taken in 1938. I’m not sure if Aunty Polly was my grandmothers
sister or if it was her mother. Some of your visitors may recognize members of
their family and I’d love to know who they are and where they lived. My
grandmother Emily Kennedy (nee Burns) is 3rd left back row, she lived
on Brighton Terace for over 50 years. Her sister
Mary Barnes (known as Polly) is 2nd right back row. Another sister
Annie Geoghan is 2nd right middle row and
my great-grandmother Mary Burns (also known as Polly - nee Swift) is 3rd
from right front row.
